Imbolc Stirrings
Along a West Cork walk. Plus Salon reminder.
Hello all,
Happy Imbolc, St. Brigit’s Day, crossing the threshold into a new Celtic season. The day unloosens itself with light. February 1st. As if on cue, there is an uprising of bud and burst, not fully yet, but soon. A gathering in the air, of quickening and delight.
I look my camera out for a walk today, to feel the rising in my bones, to let the light in. My stride is laced with greening, and with song.
Some photos below for you from my walk. Mostly as a reminder that winter will pass, the season will turn, the days will lengthen, the buds will swell, the bloom will be upon us. Life, is all this change, all this giving. Wherever you are, may Brigid’s brightness help to quicken your own inner spring.
A reminder too that later I’ll be celebrating the day by hosting my Imbolc Seasonal Salon. There will be poems, and tending to our own creative stirrings, and writing to honour the dreams in our bellies, longing to be born. (Tickets included in Gold/ Founding membership), or via the link below.
And in case you missed the longer seasonal reflections (which includes a downloadable guide and audio meditation, you can find that here:
